Work days
We periodically hold volunteer work days, with work ranging from interior painting and window washing to trail maintenance and cutting down dead trees. Watch our newsletter and the calendar on the website for upcoming dates.
Scheduled volunteering
If you’re interested in signing up to be a volunteer on a regular basis, we often have needs in the following areas. Scheduled volunteers receive training, have a volunteer job description, and volunteer during specific days and times.
Exterior maintenance
Trail clearing and stabilization, removal of forest debris, firewood splitting, tending to the garden, weeding, and watering.
Library assistance
Shelving, cataloguing, and monitoring the condition of books.
Guest services
Greeting visitors, answering the phone, and possibly some light data entry.
Kitchen help
Assist our cook with food prep and clean-up.
On-call volunteering
If you’re available to be on-call for special volunteer needs, we’d love to have your information! On-call volunteers receive training, have a volunteer job description, and are available on an as-needed basis. Our needs typically involve kitchen assistance, exterior maintenance, and guest services.
